Jack Boulton’s family first became involved with Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) following his sudden death in August 2009. He was aged just 17. Jack was a talented sportsman and had a bright academic future ahead of him. He attended the sixth form at Wellsway School and played football for Keynsham and Saltford football clubs, cricket for Keynsham Cricket Club and was junior captain at Saltford Golf Club.
Jack’s family have received tremendous support from the local community and numerous fundraising efforts and donations have been used to fund 6 heart screening events (screening over 1,100 young people since 2014).
We remain committed to supporting CRY in raising awareness and prevention of future young deaths.
We are delighted Santa Dash have chosen CRY as one of their charities. Please help us to continue to fund the screening of young people within the local community. Together we are making a difference in saving young lives.
We're an independent charity supporting young people aged 5 to 25 across Bath & North East Somerset who are facing challenges at home or at school.
Through tailored mentoring, inclusive youth clubs, and inspiring activities, we help them feel safe, heard, and hopeful for their future.
Through 1:1 mentoring, youth clubs and activities programmes, we help young people feel safe, heard and hopeful for their future.
Our vision is a world in which all young people feel safe, feel heard and feel hopeful for their future.
Our mission is empowering and inspiring young lives to thrive with the help of our communities, by offering positive support and opportunities to young people facing challenges.
We are thrilled to be one of the Saltford Santa Dash's nominated charities this year. Every penny raised will make such a meaningful difference to those who we support.
